StarRupture Update 2, Quality of Life, is live. Creepy Jar released it on 2026-09-02. The newest checked hotfix is 0.3.5, released on 2026-10-05. The official notes are on Steam and the game site .
What shipped in the building tools
Copy buildings
Copy a building together with its settings, and copy settings between buildings.
Multi-deconstruct
Remove more than one building at a time, including a path that leaves foundations in place.
Pillars
Adjust Pillar Support height, add pillars while placing buildings, and snap platforms to pillar sides.
Drone Roundabout
The official notes describe a Drone Roundabout overhaul.
Crafting display
Production menus can show output per minute, and the Orbital Cargo Launcher can show its package sendout rate.
Map names
Custom Teleporter and Base Core names can appear on the map.
The same official list also includes a storage search bar, Abandoned Base and Infected Base completion trackers, corporation level requirements in the terminal, alphabetical storage sorting, and accessibility toggles for headbob, camera shake, and sprint field of view.
Recipe and Base Core numbers
The official feature list says Update 2 includes new and balanced production recipes and a Base Core upgrade cost rebalance. Those lines do not include the replacement numbers. This site's calculator, machine list, and corporation tables therefore stay on the last directly verified dataset. Cross-check a changed recipe in your save before you rebuild a line from an older plan.
Hotfixes through 0.3.5
After the September 2 release, Creepy Jar shipped hotfix 0.3.2 on September 4, 0.3.3 on September 14, 0.3.4 on September 17, and 0.3.5 on October 5. The 0.3.5 notes focus on crashes, stability, pillar and platform calculations, and dedicated-server habitat cleanup.
Long first load
On some larger saves made on 0.3.3 or earlier, the first load after 0.3.4 can take about 5 to 10 minutes because every Pillar is replaced. A save written on 0.3.4 or 0.3.5 loads at a normal speed afterward. Hotfix 0.3.5 says it improved loading of saves made before Update 2, and that the pillar replacement wait can still happen if the save has not been opened on 0.3.4 yet.
